Back in 2011 Chevrolet took the learnings from the C6 ZR1 program and applied them to the Z06 platform. This short video shows my 2008 heads and cam Z06 driving by, downshifting and rev matching, equipped with American Racing headers and the oem 2011 Z06 mufflers. Compared to the 2008 Z06 mufflers, immediately upon opening up the butterfly valves, the exhaust note is sharper and the tone is stronger, sharper and more aggressive. it’s more race car screamer than muscle car deep.
