This part number opens and closes the npp valves (controls volume output) with a REMOTE regardless of how your car is optioned. This system works on ALL Stingrays. If your C8 Stingray includes the Z51 package or the Performance Exhaust package, and you want to control your volume output with your drive mode settings or My Mode/Z-Mode configurations, you would want the Level Up Dual Mode Exhaust For C8 Stingray With Electronic NPP Valve Control.
Whether you have the OEM Base exhaust or the OEM Performance Dual Mode Exhaust (standard on Z51 equipped Corvette C8 Stingrays, optional on cars not equipped with the Z51 package) you can run the new Level Up Dual Mode Catback Exhaust for C8 Corvette and enjoy a much deeper, fuller tone that transform’s your Stingray’s LT2 engine note to one that’s more in line with the deep baritone thump that’s so iconic of the classic American V8. The remote controlled dual mode valves give you 100% volume output at the push of a button.
To complete the package, this dual mode catback exhaust system also includes Active Fuel Management (AFM) valves that run with the oem AFM electronic valve actuators to preserve this functionality that all C8 Stingrays have from the factory. When Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray goes into 4 cylinder mode, the AFM valves close to add backpressure to the engine so it’s more balanced running on half the cylinders. By retaining the AFM valves on this exhaust system, you will avoid any strange drone/resonance when C8 goes into 4 cylinder mode.
C8 Stingray owners with the base exhaust can now have a dual mode exhaust that opens and closes on command! What makes this system special is you don’t need to have the oem dual mode exhaust from the factory in order to run this aftermarket dual mode system. The valves that control the loud/quiet modes is run off an independent vacuum system and a remote for full sound control 100% of the time.
Crafted from high quality 304 Stainless Steel and built with dual mode mufflers tuned for a deep, muscular tone and a clean, drone-free experience, you’ll be grinning from ear to ear when you wake up this beast. Although we haven’t weighed it yet, expect this system to save at least 15lbs pounds vs the oem system. We ran sound tests on this system and have seen gains on average of 10 decibels vs the oem system in loud mode!
High temperature heat shielding has been added to critical areas to keep heat under control. This high performance exhaust system includes round, 4″ gloss black or carbon fiber tips with a metal inner skeleton. For maximum ride comfort and functionality, this system also includes Active Fuel Management (AFM) valves just like all oem C8 exhausts to keep drone in check when the engine goes into four cylinder mode.
